Home Bible Study

"Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen.
Revelation 22:20

This is a Home Bible study. It exists to promote the Word of God as it's written, which means nothing added or taken away, and minus opinions.

The Bible is the only source of Divine Truth in the world today. Although it is both helpful and informative in many ways, the Bible often doesn't tell us everything we want to know but the Bible does tell us everything we need to know.

My role is to guide you through the Scriptures; to explain what this book says and in some cases what it does not say because this is just as important.

Ultimately, you have a decision to make concerning your salvation - no one can make it for you. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator God, has given everyone the ability to make choices - this is is called "Free Will." I pray you consider your choice wisely.

II Timothy 2:15

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

The Revelation Chronology

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

Introduction to the book of Revelation
Part XI

I closed the previous lesson with this thought; according to Scripture, we are living in the “Last days,” but we are not presently living in the Tribulation Period.

It’s more than startling when I hear people are teaching this stuff.
Even more incredible is that many, many people swallow it hook-line-and-sinker.
People who do not spend time in this book are at a distinct disadvantage.

I know we are not living in the Tribulation.  Why?
We Believers are still here!
The Body of Christ has not been “taken out of the way,” and it will be.
This is what Scripture says.

I Thessalonians 1

10: and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead.  Even Jesus.
(Now read this carefully)Who delivereth us (The Church) from the (What?) wrath to come.  (KJV)

Now this verse makes it as plain as daylight.
The Body of Christ will be delivered (or spared) from the wrath of God.

I don’t mind repeating this; you must learn to discern the difference between God dealing with His elect (the Jews) under the Law and God dealing with His Church under Grace.  When you try to mix the two, that’s when problems begin.

So where do you find Grace-Age Doctrine in Scripture?
When you are reading the Apostle Paul’s letters, you are on safe ground.
You won’t find them anywhere else!

Here’s some homework for you.
See if you can find the terms and word phrases Paul uses, such as The Body of Christ, Salvation by faith alone in the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, or the word “mystery,” in any of the four gospels.  (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John)

The Tribulation will affect the entire population; but it will be primarily directed to the Jews, under the Law, as it was in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry.
Although there are many who teach the Rapture of the Lord’s Church is a part of the Tribulation, I can’t locate that in Scripture.  Suffice to say, all we do know is that the Rapture will precede the Tribulation Period.  Whether that is by days, weeks, months, or years, the Bible is silent.

Most people have not considered this; but the Rapture will be a “wake-up call” for the entire disbelieving world in a most dramatic way.  Why?

Instantaneously millions of people, world-wide, will vanish, no matter where they are   and no matter what they are doing, …in the blink of an eye.
At the sound of the trumpet, we Believers will be “yanked” out of here.

*****

When will the Tribulation begin?

According to the Word, when the Anti-Christ signs the peace treaty guaranteeing the nation of Israel their security for seven years, God’s time clock will resume, and then prophecy will be fulfilled down to the very last detail.
Matthew 24

27: And he (the Anti-Christ) will make a firm covenant (peace treaty) with the many for one week (7 years), but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering (the Jewish Temple will be re-established.  Three and one-half years after the signing of this agreement the Anti-Christ will defile God’s Temple and put an end to the Temple’s function); and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

So, this event will “trigger” the beginning of the End Times…
