Home Bible Study

"Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen.
Revelation 22:20

This is a Home Bible study. It exists to promote the Word of God as it's written, which means nothing added or taken away, and minus opinions.

The Bible is the only source of Divine Truth in the world today. Although it is helpful and informative in many ways, the Bible might not tell us everything we want to know but the Bible does tell us everything we need to know.

My role is to guide you through the Scriptures; to explain what this book says and in some cases what it does not say because this is just as important.

Ultimately, you have a decision to make concerning your salvation - no one can make it for you. The Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator God, has given everyone the ability to make choices - this is is called "Free Will." I pray you consider your choice wisely.

II Timothy 2:15

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

My Commentary on the Election of 2012

Many of us in America are asking, "What just happened?"

Americans overlooked the Washington, D.C. gridlock, the broken economy, the fiscal mess, the looming Middle East crisis, the European Market meltdown, the national debt, Social Security, Medicare, the killing of the unborn children in this country by the millions, and the list goes on my friends and re-elected Mr. Obama for another term in office.

The American Majority has spoken.

Socialist governments around the world are in awe because of what has been accomplished here in the U.S. in such a short time.

On November 6, 2012 American Conservatives received a knockout punch.

To echo a Fox News statement on 11/7/12:
There has been a fundamental shift in American morality.”

This shouldn’t be news to you HBS members.
You should be expecting this kind of social activity.

Remember me saying, and I've repeated this statement a few times, these things have to happen before the Lord Jesus Christ returns?

Looking back…
I was raised in a God-fearing nation.  Many of you were too.  For example Sundays were set aside for worship, family, and rest.  And that’s exactly what our family did.
In addition, you couldn’t find a store open in my hometown on any Sunday.

Tell me, how is it looking out there today?

Over the decades, the U.S. has steadily progressed from being a God-fearing nation to a nation with no use for God or His principles.

The Apostle Paul in his second letter to Timothy (written just before he was martyred in 68 AD) writes about the apostasy to come in the “last days.”

Read these words carefully and bear in mind the events that are taking place in your homes, your communities, your towns, your cities, and in our nation today.

And don’t think for a minute you’re immune from these concerns if you are living outside the U.S.A.

2 Timothy 3

1: But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

2: For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3: unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,

4: treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

5: holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

6: For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,

7: always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

My friends this is both a warning to those who would dare follow this path which leads to certain destruction and a “sign” to us Believers that the end is not far off.

You won’t catch me putting the Lord’s return within a time frame.
I’ll leave that to the evangelicals.  Instead Scripture gives us signs to let us know the end time is approaching much like the birthing pains of a woman in labor (travail) who is about to give birth.

On November 6, 2012, this nation witnessed for the first time, a major shift in its "moral compass."  I for one (this is an opinion) do not believe you will see it swing back to True north - so to speak, meaning Jesus Christ is the only way and the only answer to the eternal question.)  I also believe this change is permanent.

Of course you are welcome to disagree with me.  I base my opinion on history, current events, and always in light of Scripture.

Some very influential people have all but given up on the Republican Party and are now openly talking about a "third" party in hopes of taking the oval office in the next presidential election.  They state that neither party can “fix” the nation’s problems.
And to be truthful nowadays both parties almost mirror each other in their ideals.  Whatever…
